Hi All,
Today in class we discussed the significance of the names Peter and Wendy in "The Veldt." We learned the term allusion and added the definition to the short stories section of our binder.
Allusion is a literary device in which
the writer or speaker refers either directly or indirectly to a person,
event, or thing in history or to a work of art or literature.
We then used the remainder of class to finish our news broadcast assignments for Monday.
Reminder: There will be no class time to work on projects tomorrow (Friday).
Homework:
1. Study Vocabulary. Vocab quiz tomorrow.
2. News broadcast assignments due Monday.
