Literary Paragraphs

Hi all,

Today in class we finished discussing how to write a literary paragraph and we broke down an example together.  I checked your vocab homework at the start of class.  I then gave you paragraph outlines, and we worked on taking your ideas and quotes from the web diagrams and incorporating them into a literary paragraph.  I also gave a lesson on transition words and incorporating quotations into your writing.  Paragraphs will be due next week.

The prompt for the literary paragraph is:  Discuss the personality traits that make John Purcell a poor father in the short story “The Father,” by Hugh Garner.
