Essay Prep

Hi all,

Today in class we practised and prepared for Monday's in class essay.  On Monday, you will be given a list of topics to choose from and you must come up with a thesis statement (point to prove) for your essay.  You then must write a 600 word, five paragraph essay in class. 

Today we went through:

How to write a body paragraph (review)

How to write a conclusion (review)

Important points to keep in mind while literary writing (review)

6 point marking scale (review)

Evaluation expectations for Monday (review)

We then discussed how to organize your thoughts for Monday, and started making predictions about arguments that we may see come up on the test.

Homework:

Character Quiz #2 tomorrow.  Make sure you are familiar with the characters in the play and what happened to each of them.  This is good preparation for your unit test on Tuesday (all multiple choice).
