Subtext

Hi All,

Today in class we began with our character quiz.  We then moved on to learning about subtext (what is happening below the surface of the language) and Shakespeare's double meanings.  We then began reading Act II Sc. ii and discussed how changing the way we read Oberon's speech affects Titania (lines 33-40).

We finished the class by looking into the figurative language in Shakespeare.  We dissected Titania's speech in II.i. and worked on finding the poetic devices in her language (due for homework).
